NOTICE OF DATA INCIDENT

Trionfo Solutions, LLC (“Trionfo” or “we”) learned that an unauthorized party gained access to the Trionfo network between December 4, 2023 and December 6, 2023 and may have acquired copies of certain Trionfo files during that time. While Trionfo is not aware of any fraudulent activity or misuse of information as a result of the incident, it is posting this Notice of Data Incident to alert you of what happened.

Upon discovering the incident, Trionfo promptly took steps to contain the situation and engaged a third-party forensic investigation firm to further investigate and to confirm the security of the Trionfo environment. Trionfo also undertook a comprehensive review of the contents of the involved files. Through this review, Trionfo learned that the files contained information that Trionfo maintains in connection with certain insurance related services that we provide to business customers, including personal information pertaining to those business customers’ employees or their customers’ employees. The type of information at issue varied for each individual, but may have included the following: name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, phone number, and/or email address.

On January 9, 2024, Trionfo notified the involved business customers that the incident potentially involved personal information that Trionfo had collected from them. Since then, Trionfo has been coordinating with those business customers to – at their direction – complete appropriate notifications of the incident. On May 22, 2024, on behalf of these business customers, Trionfo began mailing letters to individuals whose information was potentially involved in the incident and for whom mailing addresses were available. As described in those letters, Trionfo has arranged for complimentary identity theft protection services for those individuals whose Social Security numbers or driver’s license numbers were involved in the incident.  Individuals should refer to the notice they will receive in the mail via USPS for more information regarding steps they can take to protect themselves.  Individuals who did not receive notification but believe their information may have been affected can call 1-866-528-3898 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Central Time.

As a precautionary measure, Trionfo recommends that all people remain vigilant to protect against potential fraud and/or identity theft by, among other things, reviewing their account statements, monitoring their credit reports closely, and notifying their financial institutions if unusual activity is detected. They should also promptly report any fraudulent activity or suspected identity theft to proper law enforcement authorities, including the police and their state’s attorney general. Individuals may also wish to review the tips provided by the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) on fraud alerts, security/credit freezes and steps that they can take to avoid identity theft.  For more information and to contact the FTC, please visit www.ftc.gov/idtheft or call 1-877-ID-THEFT (1-877-438-4338).  Individuals may also contact the FTC at: Federal Trade Commission, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20580.
